an unforgettable experience at a beautiful farm, on a beautiful mountain, spent with the most warm loving family. spend a few days here, and you may walk away learning more than what the children would from you. relax for a few days, go for a hike, or take a bike with the kids as your guide. the farm has a newly built guest houses for visitors, it is not free, but 100% of money spent on accommodation goes directly back into maintaining the farm and providing for the children.

Children's shelter foundation is a non-profit self sustaining farm nestled on a mountain 45minutes from chiang mai. it's aim is to establish a close nit family environment for under-privileged children from nearby hill tribes (mostly from burma). it is an amazing project that provides guidances to these children from the beginning til the day they can care for themselves. many of us have many things, big or small, valuable or invaluable, that is sitting at home collecting dust, but these things could make a huge impact for the children here. from things like old laptops, iphones/ipads, tablets, cameras, to dvds, cds, magazines, comics, stationary. basically anything you think of that would be of value to these children. i am not a representative of the organisation, i am just a friend of the farming trying to help in some way. for more information please visit childrens-shelter.com or feel free to contact me for any general advice.
